Töreboda-Moholm(SWE) - Sockers FC Chicago(USA)  1 - 3

( Simon 0-1, Ryan Srednicki 0-2, Xavier Gomez 0-3, Töreboda-Moholm 1-3)

 1st half - It was even first half which ended 0-0, boys looked a bit tired after the flight and time change. Not much chances created from both sides but we already can say that the Swedish side are bigger than us but we have better skills. The real chance came at the end of the first half when Xavier Gomes brought a ball to 18 yard box beating a player on a way and had wonderful chance to shoot but instead passed the ball to Ben Kucera and after Ben's shot the Swedish goalie made a great save. But it was a first real danger.

2nd half - The Sockers FC Chicago has dominated completely. The score should have been 5:1 or 6:1. Siman Megally scored the first goal for us in this tournament. Then Ryan Srednicki scored from the short corner, curved the ball right into the goal. And finally Xavier Gomez scored the spectacular goal - 3 times he had to shoot from the close range to finally score - really something to see

 July 15th

Västerås IK(SWE) - Sockers FC Chicago(USA) 1 - 2

( Västerås IK 1-0, Daniel Cavazos  1-1, Eric Kotlyar 1-2 )

 Very emotional game,

1st half - we have conceded a goal after 15-20 seconds after the start of the game. The Swedish forward just beat half of our team and scored. 0-1 we are behind.

Very big and kind of skillful Swedish team and we are...( I think that indoor league U15 and U16 our boys played in the winter season helped us a lot). We answer with Dan Kavanagh hitting the crossbar with a header after Kirill Likhovid cross from the right. Then we put the same Swedish forward down in our box - no call from the referee. Next again the same Swedish forward beat our defender and go one on one with our goalie to miss a target for just a few inches. They just missed their golden chance!!! Soon after this Daniel Cavazos scores the header after another good cross from the left. 1-1. Very physically demanding game, our boys are fighting very hard. End of the first half.

2nd half - Our boys are tired but playing hard. A lot of fighting for the ball in the midfield area. Oleg Nagorny is winning the ball in the center of the field and Swedish midfielder pushes him down. Free kick - Daniel Cavazos makes a perfect cross and Eric Kotlyar makes it 1-2 with another header!!!!! Our boys make the Swedish team tired and frustrated. The Swedes fall right in front of their box but Eric Kotlyar sent a ball just over the goal from a free kick - good chance. Ben Kucera is trying to redirect Kirill Likhovod's header to the goal and scores the 3rd goal...but the referee calls the off-side. Next Xavier Gomez passes the ball to Timmy Murphy. Timmy's good shot is saved by the Swedish goalie. The Swedes try to attack but too late. We won 2-1.  I have to add that Nina's coaching during the game has helped the team to win this game. I was close and heard everything what he was saying to the boys.
