Manchester United Premier Cup

General Information

Sockers FC Boys and Girls

The most competitive U14/15 tournament in the world!
Memorial date at NIKE World Headquarters
in Beaverton, Oregon

In the United States, the Manchester United Premier Cup has drawn the most competitive U14 and U15 teams across the nation, and, as a result, US Soccer has taken notice. Over the past 9 years US Soccer staff coaches have been on hand at the tournament to scout players for the U14 National Team programs. Many players who participated in the Manchester United Premier Cup have gone on to play for the United States National Teams and various professional teams. In fact, Jonathan Spector, a former Sockers FC and Premier Cup alumnus from 2000, now plays on the reserve and fist team for Manchester United!

Teams:

32 boys teams and 32 girls teams from all over the U.S. will compete. The tournament organizer (Lake Oswego Soccer Club) will have an automatic entry for 1 team in each gender. Four (4) other teams per gender will receive automatic bids. These automatic bids will come from the winners of the U14 age categories in each gender of the qualifying tournaments as our Sockers Nike Classic Cup.

In most countries, the competition starts with regional qualification tournaments. The winners of these tournaments qualify for the National Finals. The winners of the National Finals are invited to participate in a Continental Final, i.e. the European Final, the Asian Final, etc.
